Guogong Jiu The Guogong (Duke) Medicinal Wine produced by Tongrentang has a history of more than 280 years. Legend has it that an experienced doctor from the countryside invented a kind of medicinal wine, with which he healed many patients suffering from rheumatism. During the Ming Dynasty, Duke Shi made medicinal wine according to the doctor's recipe in his mansion and recorded the process. In memory of Shi, later generations then called this kind of wine Duke Shi's Medicinal Wine. In June 1885, the 11 th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty, the Imperial Hospital ordered Tongrentang to submit the recipe for making the medicinal wine, and named it Guogong Medicinal Wine. It was used by royal families. Actions: To disperse wind and expel dampness,and relax muscles and tendons and activate meridians Indications: Impediment disease due to wind,cold and dampness with manifestations of painful and leaden joints with difficult impeded movement,numbness of limbs,painful lower back and legs;hemiplegia due to disorders of meridians,deviated mouth and eye,and flaccidity and weakness of the lower limbs.
