Shimadzu High Performance Liquid Chromatograph Systems. Automatic TLC Sampler.	In recent years, Tongrentang Group has greatly increased its investment in R&D. It now leads its counterparts in the facilities for technological development. The group has many state-of-the-art laboratories, such as pharmacology laboratories, SPF laboratories, pharmaceutical laboratories and quality-testing laboratories. It also has 553 sets of research equipment and instrument, including near-infrared spectrographs, high-performance liquid chromatographs, automatic thin-layer scanners and automatic solid-liquid extraction units, all of which are valued at nearly 23 million yuan. Relying on its talented staff and sophisticated research equipment, the group has now undertaken many national scientific research projects, including two projects under the National “863” Program, one project of the State Torch Program under the State Ministry of Science and Technology, two projects under the National New Medicine Innovation Foundation, one project on China's Tenth Five-Year Plan, one of the Scientific and Technological Innovation Projects under the State Development and Reform Commission and one project under the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, ten further R&D projects for existing TCM products and three key technology projects in the industralization of new TCM products under Beijing Municipal Science and Technolgoy Commisssion . In the future, the group will continue increasing its investment in research equipment and instrument, promoting technological innovation and consolidating its leading position in TCM R&D.
